At Walletfy we take care of your information. This document explains what data we collect, how we use it and what rights you have.
What data we collect
Your account data (name and email) and the financial information you enter: accounts, movements, expenses, cards, budgets and goals. If you link WhatsApp, we store your phone number to recognize you.
Data that comes from WhatsApp
When you message the bot, we receive your number, your message text and, if you send it, the receipt image. We use that data only to create the expense you later confirm in the app.
Receipts and images
A receipt image is processed on the spot to read the expense and is NOT stored. We only keep the result you confirm (amount, description, date). We never store third-party card, CBU or CVU numbers.
Use of artificial intelligence
To read your messages and receipts we use an artificial-intelligence provider, solely to extract the expense. It is not used to profile you or for any other purpose.
How we use your data
We use your data only to provide the service: show your finances, compute balances and budgets, and sync across your devices. We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep data
We keep your account information while your account is active. Receipt images are not retained. When you delete your account, we delete your associated data.
Providers
We rely on external providers to operate: cloud infrastructure (hosting and database), payment processing (Mercado Pago, for the paid plan), artificial intelligence (to read receipts) and analytics tools. Each provider only accesses what is strictly necessary.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and analytics tools to understand how the product is used and improve it. You can manage your preferences from the consent banner.
Security
We encrypt your information in transit and at rest, and apply access controls so each user can only see their own data. We never connect to your bank account.
Your rights and how to delete your account
You can access, correct and delete your data whenever you want. From your profile (Start over / delete account) you delete your account and all associated information.
